BALLOT ISSUES

Issue 1 - Reproductive Freedom Amendment  

Vote YES to restore Roe v. Wade in Ohio!

Issue 2 - Marijuana Initiative

YES vote is endorsed by the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party

Legalizes and regulates marijuana for those over 21, including sale, possession, and home-growing

Creates Division of Cannabis Control to regulate and license operators

Marijuana sales would be taxed at 10%


 County Issue 5 - Tri-C Renewal & Increase

YES vote is endorsed by the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party

2.1 mill renewal levy with a 0.4 mill increase for Tri-C. This funding directly contributes to affordable education, workforce training, and the economic growth of Northeast Ohio. Sustains Tri-C's vital educational and economic impact in the region.


Issue 57 - North Royalton Charter Amendment

- Increases Council Terms from 2 to 4 Years

- Bypassed Charter Review Commission

- Resets Term Limits! 

Term Limits are 12 years for Ward Council members. Some Council members have been in office since 2020. If passed, terms will reset to 0 after 2025 election, but not for Council President. So some council members could serve for 18 years.

- Staggers with Mayor/President

So a Ward Member can challenge Mayor/President from the safety of their ward seat.

In 2023, in addition to the above Issues, there are VERY important local elections for North Royalton's City Council, the North Royalton Mayor, and for three seats on the North Royalton Board of Education.
